Framed!

We were put to work on our house today...which we are more than happy to do. We...including me...moved the roof trusses to where they needed to be. It was a big job, but apparently, according to my sister Melany, I'm "freakishly" strong. Who really knows what that means, but I'm no wimpy girl who is afraid of using her muscles.

Tanner had a spring concert and he was the perfect little, barking goat...that's right...a goat that barks. He told me tonight when going to bed that he wanted to be a music teacher when he gets older and that he's going to have a spring concert on March 1st. LOL! I LOVE LOVE LOVE that cute boy!

I am standing in the corner of the dining room looking at the stairwell, the bathroom wall is right against the stairwell hole.

What's in YOUR bag?

I'm totally a follower for doing this. I've seen it all over blogerland. I'm one of the 'cool' kids too, so I'll just follow along : ) 1. the Ziploc of all ziplocs. this holds pretty important stuff....our paint samples and countertop sample for our house. 2. this piece of paper holds notes and things we like for the house 3. my main wallet (yes, i'm lame and have 2 wallets) 4. tanner's skating card 5. a piece of paper from a y.w. lesson i taught years and years ago 6. shopping list. it wasn't very long that day 7. hair clips 8. my iPod classic. it has ALL my music from my computer. i usually take this to work because it has all the music on it that the dr. likes loaded on. it's much easier than having to rotate cd's every 50-60 minutes. it's just continuous 9. pens 10. floss. not so much for me but for friends to use 11. scene card. usually this is in my wallet but it was out 12. eye glass cleaning cloth 13. tanner's old epi pens. there's not particular reason these are in here. they're old...like 2 years old. 14. bath and body hand sanitizer in vanilla and brown sugar 15. extra brand gum...my fave 16. cheque book 17. tanner picked out this nemo key for himself for when we get into our new place. 18. tylenol and advil liquid gel caps 19. gas mileage book. 20. cross iron mills mall directory. you NEED one of these unless you shop there every week...which i don't 21. our passports 22. may 2009 visiting teaching message....mother's who know 23. broken watch 24. tanner's dsi and ear plugs 25. tanners name key tag 26. my other wallet. this one has all my non-essential cards...club cards, credit card, etc. 27. (over by tanner's skating card) sticky notes/notepad...in case i need to leave a note on someones door or make a list suddenly.

Concrete

This part is a bit boring to me...concrete is like watching paint dry, but it's part of the process of building.

Dear Happiness

Dear Jamie,

What color do you want your room to be painted??? ; )

Happiness this week so far is:

-back to just part time work. Although I am grateful for the blessing of being able to work full time the last 2 weeks, my priority is being a mother first and working full time is not conducive to that. I didn't have a child to have him raised by someone else.

-normal routine

-cleaning

-making Shepard's pie for dinner

-wearing my new shoes to work

-knowing that the completely bizarre dreams I've been having the last 2 nights are just that...dreams!

-having life

-a good long distance plan so I can talk to my Mom and sisters for how long I want to

-having a sister who knows about sports stuff. We registered Tanner in coach pitch and I wasn't sure how to soften the mitt that we bought him so I called up my sister and asked her.

-FINALLY getting the dance routine we've been practicing for the last few months! I practice A LOT at home but this week it was just me and one other girl and our teacher really worked us hard (which was a good thing) to get the rhythm of the dance and the steps clean. I have a bad habit of watching Susanne or Laura and that's NOT good. They are very good but I have to know how to just do it on my own without looking at their feet all the time. I FINALLY can! I was starting to get really nervous that I wouldn't get it by the time May comes around (performance) but no worries now.

-finding a rotten orange this morning before it rotted all the other oranges

-friends

-movies (with friends)

-walking home with Tanner from school

Life is happy!

Blueprints

You can click on any of the images to enlarge them to get a better look.

Our elevation is a bit higher since we only dug our basement 4 feet

Simple as that

Last week I was in the mall and stopped in at Payless....just to look. Well, look what came home with me! Aren't they so cute! They will add a pop to my outfit when I wear my black or navy skirts.

I will have house blueprints up later tonight so come back and check it out!

So much!

There has been much that has been happening. So here's a sneak peak...okay let's face it, it's an overload of ALL that's happened in the last week. The bike rodeo at School on Wednesday. Matt went and took pictures and a couple of videos. They all seemed to have fun That smile gets me every time!

Oh look! The floor trusses are up!

The front door is on the very right of the picture.

I'm standing exactly in the middle of my house

Okay, I have to share this funny story. While I was at work last week, I wore a skirt...I am getting seriously bored of pants...so anyways I was wearing a skirt to work and during my lucnch break I went over to Costco to get a few things ( I even broke my rule and got a cart!). It was pretty windy, but I had managed to get into Costco without any trouble. I go in and get my stuff, come out and it seems like the wind has really picked up. So I thought, I'll just hurry to the car and load my stuff in. Well, just as I get to the car the wind had an under-gust and blew my skirt up while I was unprepared! Was I wearing nylons or leggings...haa haa...N-O I was NOT! So Costco parking lot got a nice show...lol. So this particular day, I made sure to wear thick tights so it didn't matter. My skirt is actually billowing a bit but it didn't blow upwards. Phew!

Tanner in his bedroom window and I am in mine and Matt's. That extra one is the ensuite

Just another one of us in our windows.

Yes, the photo doesn't lie. Tanner beat us.
Tanner bowled this way for most of the 2 games we played. He did very well. He beat us both on each of the 2 games.
