Saved

I was very nearly in tears today at the pharmacy. Tears of joy and happiness because I just saved $281.71. For what you ask??? For Tanner's Epi Pen that we have to get every year. I love Matt's job and it's things like this that make me so unbelievably grateful for the blessing of Matt's job and that he loves being there and the phenomenal benefits. For the last 2 years, we have had to pay this full amount for 2 Epi Pens.

We went to the Temple today and afterwards went to the book store and got some dried mushrooms and some dried peppers. It makes me happy to be able to have some more variety in our food storage. I wanted to get some banana's, mango's, and oranges, but they're a little more expensive and so we'll get them a little later. We're still working on building up our basic stuff. We have few months worth (maybe 2-3 months) but we need to sit down and find out just how much of everything we have. I try to buy flour and sugar every couple of months to keep stalked up. I'd love to get a book that has recipes made strictly from food storage stuff. I saw one once but I can't remember where.

Our Relief Society Birthday party was fabulous! It was lots of fun and it was a good mixer. We all got to know some new things about the women we were sitting with. The theme was "birds of a feather, flock together". It was nice.

Our house is supposed to be getting framed today!!!! It's really exciting.

Anyways, I'm off to Susanne's to watch our weekly shows and make home made pizza...YUM!!!

Do enjoy your weekend! Pictures are coming later tonight or some time tomorrow!

A HOLE! A HOLE!

HOLE:an opening into or through something/a hollow place

This is the starting of our hole. It is apparently done but we weren't able to get pictures as Matt is at work with the car and I was plain lazy to go over and take a picture. Matt will take a picture of it tomorrow.

Today holes make me happy!

I still feel like this is pretty surreal. It still doesn't feel like OUR house.

Today having my shoulder taped made me happy. A couple weeks ago I over stressed it or slept on it wrong and it hasn't been the same since. Being in Calgary and sleeping poorly didn't help. So I had it taped up all fancy today so it feels better but we'll see how the week goes.

Hawaiian meatballs over rice made me happy today.

Walking home from dance class with Susanne made me happy today.

The fresh, windy air made me happy today.

Being alive makes me happy

Simple and Joy

Simple things Challenge:

I have been playing around with my camera this week and although I still am not very good, I feel like I'm learning a bit as a play.
This may look like an ordinary picture but it has a really good story behind it.
When I was a little girl, my Mom made the BEST peanut butter cookies EVER! I mean, they were better than anything else in the world (they're from Betty Crocker if you were wondering). Anyways, my Aunt got this squirrel cookie jar for my Mom when she was on her mission in france and this is the cookie jar my Mom always put the peanut butter cookies in. It holds special memories of deliciousness. When I got married, my Mom said I could pick ANY cookie jar I wanted to take with me and it only took me a millisecond to say that I wanted this particular one. And although I have since acquired a couple more of her more "pretty" cookie jars, this one is and always be my favorite.

It makes me Happy
Sunday January 9th
-having hot chocolate on a cold wintery, snow blowing day
-discovering more about the "nativity" story
-going to church
-listening to good music

SATURDAY JANUARY 8

I made a new recipe yesterday. It was okay. Not as flavorful as I thought it would be, but good nevertheless

We told Tanner that on Friday night that he would have to clean his room up the next day before he did anything else. So on Saturday morning while Matt was out doing papers and I was still sleeping, he quietly cleaned his room and when he saw I was awake, he proudly showed me what he had done.

cleaning the house and getting some much needed things sorted through and thrown out

staying warm in my house

Friday January 7th

I've been playing around with my camera settings and I like how this picture turned out. It's my wedding bouquet

having a dance party with Tanner and Matt

playing wheel of fortune with Tanner

I'm happy that I have time. Time to grow, time to learn, time to love, time to raise a family, time to mature, time to appreciate, time to be healthy, time to LIVE. Life can be so fragile and not everyone gets to have the time here on earth that they want.

Is it even possible?

To be over happy? Lately, I just feel so so happy. Like more happy than I think I know how to handle or deal with. People keep asking me what I'm on and I just say that I'm high on life. Does that even makes sense?
I got an opportunity to talk about the gospel with one of my co-workers and that made me so grateful that I got to share some things with her. Anyways, I feel like I could spread the happiness around a bit so that's it for now.
