My husband deserves a medal. No, really, he does. He is like the sunshine in my occasional rainy cloud. Here's why:
-tanner isn't night toilet trained. this has been REALLY hard for me. i hate it, actually, but i never say anything to him about it. matt and i decided that we were going to try to get him night trained before his summer adventures next month. guess who's gotten up to take him EVERY night for the last 2 weeks 3x a night? not me. matt. yep, i haven't gotten up once.
-he allows me to be me...silly, crazy, occasionally moody, happy, irritating me. he compliments me in so many ways. he is so laid back and easy going which is exactly what i need
-when i am frustrated/irritated/annoyed about the same problems with my life, weather it be personal, family, friends, work, health, etc, he never gets annoyed at my need to whine about it at least 5 times before i get over it.
-he still thinks i'm pretty when i don't always feel that way
-how do i even explain what an amazing dad he is! the BEST! him and tanner have this bond that tanner and i use to have when tanner was a baby. i'm still his mother and we still have a bond, but matt and tanner have this bond that goes beyond just being a parent. they are best buds
-he very rarely complains about anything i ask him to do (let's face it, he's human and does occasionally complain)
-when we were at value village last week so i could get some shorts/capris that fit he was looking at some clothes and when we were getting ready to leave i asked him if he found anything he liked and he said "this shopping trip is about you, not me". AMAZING, right?! i told him he could get something if he found something he liked...it wouldn't bother me but he told me there wasn't anything he liked enough to get.
-just about every sunday, he gives me the 'whoa, you're hot' whistle.
-he is really knowledgeable about stuff i didn't know he knew
he's just an all around great person.
